Hello Mr. Petit!
I read through most of your other blog, http://petitpubs.com/labs/ by PetitPubs and found the tutorials parts 1 through 3 on the creation of the Flickr flash widget very interesting. The Tweem effect was good, but more interesting to me was the the php spinner code for the 3-D cube of photos. I love photos, never took many until the arrival of digital cameras due to cost of mistakes with 35mm film!

I am sorry that the venture with monsaps.com didn't work out, but I liked how you were courteous enough to provide support for the three online publishing platforms, which was the only support users probably received, as the monsap.com site seems quite moribund.

And do not concern yourself over your English language skills, or rather, no need to do more than mention a single time that you are not a native speaker, but Swedish instead! You communicate very clearly in your blog. And furthermore, the Swedish language parts translate beautifully into English using Google translate utility, now finally funcitonal as of June 2010!

Best wishes to you and your family in the photos. Thank you again for your tutorials, please do not remove them?
Truly,
Ellie K of Arizona USA

Hi Ellie,
and thanks for your kind words. It's been a long time since I published any new tutorials, but I have no intention of removing them, since I have the feeling that someone can use them, even if they are ageing :)
The spinning photo cube is fairly good, but as you can see, it is not really perfect 3D, as it lacks parallax. If I had the time, I should use a Flash 3D library like Sandy 3d to reconstruct the cube.
I've been working on Sandy for a long time, but unfortunately the owner and creator of Sandy has left it hanging and moved on to other things ( building a family :).
Many of my tutorials are about Sandy3d, so if you fancy programming in object oriented Actionscript, you should try Sandy 3D.

As for Mosnaps, it was promising, but it turned out that the project owner abandoned Mosnaps and made something else. I suppose the main reason was that uploading images from your mobile phone became common place and Mosnaps was rendered obsolete.

On another note, I tried to answer you by mail, but couldn't find your mail address or any message form on your blog? :)

Bets regards!
